    sure.

do you not know how to correct for this? its amazing we even make it from point a to point b.

besides thats not the point of the thread. OP asked about "noises".... just like the other 6000 threads about VSC ABS Evac "noises"... machines make noises.

I think you need to re-read the OP

" I was cornering and heard / felt noises "

Sounds like a traction control engagement to me , ie ~ the point of the thread

and the OP has been a member here for like 2 weeks

Um, no. Normal systems don't pull you off the road.

Well, actually normal systems do pull you off the road if the alternative is rolling the truck. That's the point of VSC. And like all such systems it is a trade off that usually works in producing a better outcome but of course doesn't always do so.

What I mean is a normal system doesn't pull you off the road when you're driving at a safe speed and into oncoming traffic.

The main issue is the VSC / Traction Control hypersensitivity that generally ( but not always ) is the result of lifting and / or larger tires . During moderate speed corners the VSC ecu thinks the truck is going into a tail slide condition and tries to keep the rear end from coming around any further , this results in an understeer condition that pushes the vehicle straight on rather than allowing it to corner as you are trying to steer it to do . If you are making a right hand curve , the result is you are pushed towards the oncoming lane .

Wasn't there someone saying Toyota can reset the VSC for your tires if you're on warranty. I should look into that.

OK, got it! Thanks for clarifying.

And thanks to OZ-T for the good explanation of the "abnormal" case and potentially nasty consequences. I have a family member who was nailed head on when they were on the outside of a turn and the oncoming party on the inside of the turn under steered. In that case the under steer was due to drugs and alcohol rather than VSC funkiness.

Didn't know this was such a touchy subject for you B737.. Anyway, for everyone who helped educate me, I appreciate it. I thought this was the point of community threads. As a new tacoma owner never experiencing it, it was kinda whacky. So thanks for the help guys!
