What tires do you recommend for use in snow, jobsite mud, gravel, and occasional off-road(hunting) use, and highway commuting? Stock tire size. Cost $250 or less each. These OEM tires ain't cutting it anymore. Thanks.

Duratrac sounds like the best tire for your intended use. It's a "snowflake/mountain" labelled tire making it one of the best tires for snow/ice conditions on pavement.

For muddy jobsite and hunting conditions, you could go to a more open M/T type tire design, but those tires are actually *less* capable on snow/ice covered pavement because they've got more solid lugs for durability and less siping.

265/75-16 fit with no rub on stock Off Road Tacomas. They give you 1/2" more ground clearance and make the speedometer read true. I think that is the size they are using on the newest Pro models?

My vote for a quiet highway tire that works good in mud and snow is the Hankook Dynapro ATM.

I was pretty happy with my Hankook MT's , they were fairly quiet on road and worked well in the wet coastal snow we get here

i'm extremely happy with my ST Maxx. Very quiet on road, great winter traction on snow and ice (upstate NY not Albany either ) Haven't had them in too much mud yet as I got them just before winter. They are wearing great and are a strong tire. here are some threads on them.

I really like my Fierce Attitude MTs in 285. Very aggressive looks, but have pretty good street manners.

I have the Kelly Safari TSR's. Pretty similar carcass as the Duratrac's as since they're produced by goodyear as well. Perform great on road and off. I've taken them on ski trips all winter the past 3 winters and they've done awesome!

I was extremely hesitant for that fact alone when I was researching. Glad I decided to take the plunge. If all else fails you can buy them from Walmart and get them installed at a local shop of your choice.

This. Mine are brand new and I can tackle far more mud than I ever dreamed possible without lockers! The tire not only looks awesome but the compound wears better and the sipes are deeper than the Duratrac from what I've heard from others.

Another vote for the ST Maxx, aside from being a heavy tire, they have been great for me in all conditions.

+1 to the Hankook Dynapro ATM's. I had Duratracs before the Hankooks, and the Hankooks are 10X better in everything. Ice, rain, snow, mud, drifting, etc. I ditched my Duratracs while they still had life because I didn't like them and because the tread chunked away pretty badly with aggressive driving.

    Working on it
Running Grabber AT2s on mine, are deep snow rated and the only problems I've had with them are more related to the wonky ABS than to the tire.

Cooper A/Tw is an all terrain tire with a 50,000 mile warranty that still performs really well in ice and snow. It is pretty cheap and performs really well on highway. They are new but have been getting really good reviews so far even on 1 ton trucks.
