    Gents,

I could use some input on good rear seat cover choices for my 2015 double cab.

I have a pair of small dogs that ride with me a lot, and I'd like to keep the interior as free from dog hair as possible. That stuff is so hard to remove from seats and carpet.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I will give you this bit of advice. Do not get Wet Okoles because the dog hair can be a pain in the ass to get out. I have two golden retrievers and their hair takes a while to get all the way out of the seats.

I would think a canvas style would be best

I built one of these dog platforms

    IMG_2546_zps78e55846_a5f8800fa631da77620a4ab6d76e5549ef6a6174.jpg

Different than a seat cover, but it has completely eliminated dog hair on my seats. I leave it in most of the time, but it takes less than two minutes to pull it out and flip up the seats when I have passengers.

Plus, my dog loves it. She told me.

I like this, simple and effective. I take long roadtrips with just me and my dog a lot and usually flip the seats out too but that platform would be ideal plus we have 4 dogs between my roommates and I so were usually driving somewhere with multiple dogs to hike, etc

This X100! I got Okoles thinking it would be easier to remove dog hair over the stock seats. Way bad decisions on my behalf.

I made the same mistake and even bought black

Bought a Kurgo hammock that I can somewhat cover the backs of the front seats. Even comes with a handy bag that I can fold it up when I have passengers. Here's a pic of the Kurgo cover to give you an idea

I have a lab and my first purchase were the carhartt seat covers. Between work (plumber/pipefitter), mountain biking and my lab they get very dirty and a quick vacuum makes them look new again. The price is a bit steep but i would highly recommend them.

I use one of the canopies that are waterproof for the seats, the kind that buckle around the headrests. i leave the front unbuckled because my dog likes to stand on the armrest. Which, brings me to my next thing, fleece armrest cover from Amazon. I then have covers for the doors which velcro on and off, keeps nails off the door panels for when the heads out the window. The canopy is almost a permanent fixture so when i chuck stuff back there i dont care. When it gets dirty, i take it out and hose it off. All those can be taken on and off in minutes, but they usually just sit there unless i have people in the back

I like this build as well; nice job, very cool.... what did use for the backing and the facing material?.... looks like it grips well on the dog's pads.
    Thanks

Thanks! It is just wood covered with carpet and a couple hinges. If you click on the link in my original post, there are directions including measurements. It was very simple to build.

The carpet is nice because it holds the hair, and I just vacuum it when it gets bad.

Get covers made out of a Cordura material. It's extremely tough, dog hair doesn't stick, dog claws don't scratch it, it's waterproof, and it doesn't get real hot or cold. Marathon and Headwaters both sell nice custom made Cordura covers, but anything made out of Cordura would probably fit your needs.

I have a kurgo, not the hammock, it's fitted to the back seat. It has straps on the headrest and one around th back to keep it from slipping dog loves it because the seats are soft not hard like when folded down

Yes, that's one good point. The platforms are not soft. I throw a dog bed back there for him when he's with me.
