The bushing on the right looks kinda trashed. Make sure you do not torque the lower shock bolts until the vehicle/shocks are loaded.

Yes, torque it with the wheels on, on the ground.

That form of magical levitation scares me

    Rebuilt nickelodeon's leaf pack.
He had to sawzall a seized front hanger bolt.
I don't think he'd ever used a sawzall. It was funny

    OMD mod FTW!

Tell me that was a failed attempt at rearching the spring and that spring didnt make it into the truck

    from THIS thread

Nope, it's on Brett's truck now. Looks crazy in the press, but it springs most of the way back from that.

I didn't re-arch any springs in the pack I built a while back, but I'm completely sold on the "bastard pack" concept.

People spend hundreds of dollars on aftermarket springs and it sounds like they just end up sagging over time like the stockers.

I used free springs and have maybe $30 into things like new centering pins, paint, stripping disk, misc. hardware.

Brett grabbed some springs off an SUA S-10 in the junk yard for ~$40

Now we have leaf packs that I'm betting are superior to $400+ aftermarkets.
