Tacovendor, did you have any driveline vibration from lifting your truck? I've seen where some of the regular cabs have them from the 1-piece driveshaft. I'm going to look at picking up an '06 Reg. Cab 4x4 tomorrow.

Always come back to check out your truck...love this build! Saw that Jason is updating his front bumper and I am sure you will have to get one to put it through the paces?! I'd be happy to take the old one off your hands:D

love the truck OP! I have a 2010 regular cab 4x4 and I'm setting it up for overlanding as well so this thread is a good inspiration!

Just curious though, did you experience any driveline vibrations after your lift was installed? If so did you address the vibrations and how?

The vibrations might be taken care of with a really good alignment.

Amen. I hope Tacovendor doesn't mind me copying some aspects for my upcoming build.

Such a nice setup! I know you have gone with aftermarket rims now but going to stick my stock steelies for now also and go with the BFG KM2 255/85/r16's. Love the clean look!

Yes it had a vibration, lowered the transfer case 1.5" and that took care of it. The one piece drive shaft is the culprit.

I had the shell set up with an ARB fridge and a forward shelf over half the bed. Room for one to sleep in comfortably. I found a good ground tent to be a better option.

    piddly stuff
i have read your thread through and really like what you did with your truck i hope you still have it. i'm trying to build a '13 ac at 2.7 rt now i've got the suspension mostly done and have 1st gen tundra wheels with cooper stmaxx 255/80/17's i love them so far they're quiet and ride great. i haven't noticed a large drop in power but will be installing an lce header to help the lower end some. i would like to equip the truck for trail riding mainly if i put anything on the bed it'll be a softopper to keep weight down. i don't really want to have to regear do you have any recomendations for bumpers and armor that are functional but will also keep the weight to a minimum. a rear bumper is not a requirement but would eventually be nice. i'm just having difficulties figuring this out due to the exspense of a regear is just not in the cards at this point any help will be appreciated
