It's very hard for me to contain my excitement. It's something that I've wanted to do for a long time. I will post pictures tomorrow once I start painting!

I'm guessing it has to do with CB / antenna...

Ahhhhhhhh :goingcrazy: Hello custom skid plate! I finally got rid of the stupid two piece design from the factory. I was tired of messing with the half rusty, paper thin stock plates. These are the only pictures I have right now. I'll be out of town for a while, so I won't be able to get the rest of the pictures until I get back (they are on my dad's phone). Bear with the resolution, I took these with an iPhone 3G from the stone age. My normal phone won't charge after our last snow storm :(

This skid is made out of a single piece of 3'x4' 3/16" steel. This is my first try at welding, so I am quite excited. I bent up the tabs by cutting halfway through the metal, then welding the seam. Credit due to Box Rocket for that idea! I would also like to thank Pliny for all his help on this project. Their build threads can be found at http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-builds/117265-box-rocket-2003-trd-doublecab.html and http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-builds/288624-plinys-super-secret-build-bs-thread.html

Thanks! Not too hard. I have a bunch of links saved on my email that were a ton of help. I also have some good photos of my steps I took that I will have to post later next week. It's so pretty, I don't want to bang it up
