Beautiful travel trailer! Good to know the Tacoma can tow a Lance TT without any trouble. We are looking at the Winnebago Micro Minnie 1706FB but we also want to look at the Lance 1685 or others like it. I have already installed a Prodegy P3 in our 2017 Taco and we're going on a little road trip this week and should have over 1000 miles on the truck by Friday.
Currently, we tow a 10 year old 17' Casita trailer with a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. CAT scales shows our trailer at just over 3100 pounds and with a weight distribution hitch, friction sway bar and brake controller, it is a pleasure to tow. I'm sure the Taco would tow that trailer with no problem. As much as we love the little Casita, we want something with just a little bit more room that can be pulled with a Tacoma.
What hitch do you use with your Tacoma and Lance?
Hope you enjoy that nice trailer. We are excited to get out too.

You won't have any issues towing a Micro Minnie 1706FB or the Lance 1685 with that Tacoma as those are much lighter trailers than the 2285 I have. Before we bough the 2285, we had sat in a 1685. It's a nice little trailer but the bed is set width-wise against the front wall and that makes it difficult for the person on the inside to get out of bed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
I have a Husky Center line TS weight distribution hitch which has integrated sway control. I was happy with it and felt comfortable pulling the trailer down the road.
I can't wait to take the trailer out. We're planning on doing a shakedown test in April to see what we're missing gear wise and make sure we know what we're doing. Then off on our first short distance trip in May.

Thank you very much for the help! We are still deciding which trailer to purchase and now we feel much better knowing the Tacoma will do the job. Yes, we too are looking at the sleeping arrangements. Like you, we don't want to crawl over each other in the middle of the night to use the toilet.
Thank you again for your help. Enjoy your new trailer.
