Good morning! First post here, glad to join the group. I got a SWEET 2009 Access Cab Prerunner SR5 TRD-Off Road Speedway Blue Tacoma a few weeks ago and I love it!

The only thing I don't love is the radio. I'm used to having a usb port for all my music and I have the basic cd player with factory subwoofer.

So I've been doing research to see what I need to install a new head unit. I want to keep the factory subwoofer and make it work with the new HU.

I'm getting a Kenwood DDX319 (always been fond of Kenwood). My first problem is that I have no idea what wiring harness I need. I see a bunch of them that might work, I just have no idea. Can someone point me to the right one? I prefer Metra over Scosche if it matters. I've looked at the stickies and searched and couldn't find a solid answer.

Secondly, my truck has the rear view camera (which rocks!). Is that camera output a normal RCA and if so, is there any issue taking the cable from the rear view mirror down to the head unit?

I'm going to install new speakers, but I can do that without issue. I'm getting a plate to go from 6x9 to 6.5" because none of the 6x9s I liked had a shallow enough depth to fit.

I think that's all I need. I can figure out the steering wheel controls without issue. Thanks for all the help!

I believe (someone correct me if im wrong) the factory sub box aka flux capacitor has a small built in amp so no extra wiring required there. my main concern would be the kenwood unit and steering wheel control. I had a sweet kenwood but it wouldnt have worked with any of the steering wheel control adapters i found online. ended up switching it for a sony unit. Look into that before spending the green. hope that helps some

hmmm...keeping the controls would be nice but not 100% needed. for a lower price I can just buy the remote for the unit (it's like $30 or so). Thanks for the info though!
