Looking for an even brighter option for backup light bulbs. I have done the mod to the G6.35 base 35w bulb. I know there are a few 500 lumen leds out there. Has anyone ever tried a mini-fog light bulb like a 880, 886, 893, 899 or even those mentioned in the SilverStar flavor. Those mini-fog light bulbs are higher lumen than the led ones. Any problem with them being too hot and melting something I need more light back there! Not really looking for add-on lights under the bumper or anything like that. Just a bulb. Looking for efficient light not going for looks!

Slight lift for function. Mods galore.
Research "backup light mod" on here. I did install 886 50W fog lights in my reverse sockets and haven't had an issue with heat. They are much better than stock. I highly recommend doing this mod, especially if you have a backup camera.
