clearance on 35s

Hello, I'm currently having some trouble with my 35s hitting on my cab mount. I've done the CMC and gotten SPC UCA's and still hitting. I've read on here that adjusting the caster on the UCA's to somewhere around 4 degrees would give some extra room but it hasn't helped them clear. I just got an alignment done and they set it to almost 6 degrees of caster and there was no difference at all. I was wondering if someone could give me some insight on what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for the help in advance.

 

Cut more of the cab mount off or relocate it.

How close did you have the cmc cut towards the bolt?

 

It's cut to just before the hole in the bottom of the mount.

 

Need more info... Lift height, wheel size, with wheel offset, for starters.

 

It's on a 3-inch lift, 35x12.5x20, the rims have 4.75 backspacing with 0 offset.

 

Can you snap a photo? Might be able to assist with photos

The wheels are 9inch wide

 

Cut more. It takes a lot of cutting for 35’s to work. Look at getting a cab mount relocate, it might be better to just go ahead and do it.

Wrong. But are you adjusting caster at the uca? Greater caster at the uca is actually moving the wheel closer to the firewall. You will want to adjust the caster on the lca by moving the rear cam out and the front cam all the way in thus moving the wheel as far forward as possible. Then fine tune with the spc arms. @Ripcord has a great write up on it with his spc arms.

 

Holy shit, 6* of caster sounds like a tonne.

 

Ton of cutting, and relocate cab mount. That or 6" lift, or different wheel/tire set-up. People have hard time getting 33's not to rub on 3" lift.

Yes on the caster 3.5-4.0 cut a lot off body mount, fold in pinch weld and pound, cut plastic and sheet metal at fender/fire wall as needed also stock bump stops will be a problem. I run wheelers with 3/8” spacer. You will need a 1” wheel spacer to achieve bs at 3.75 (should be fine). I only rub when stuffed in the rocks. Picture is old I may have cut more don’t remember.
