    I saw a post about a dash cam on here that has an adapter to plug right into the rear view mirror. I have searched and can’t find it. Does anyone have a link or did I dream this up? Haha

    TW navigation is klunky...I've found that sometimes it's easier to use your normal search engine to find the stuff on the TW site...

    OK, so I got the original mini and the dongle. The camera won't power on. The mirror has power.

    I tried swapping cables. That didn't work.

    Plugged the camera into the cigarette lighter and it powers on.

    So it's not the camera or cable, it's the dongle. I looked at the pin count, and I can see 8 pins. Did I get the wrong one? I ordered the correct one.

    Please advise.

    If yours has 8 pins it’s incorrect, you need the 12 pin dongle that @MyBlueTaco linked.

    For reference I use that same 12 pin dongle in a 2018 Off Road in conjunction with a Rexing v1 4K dash cam and it works as you’d expect.

    I was saying that there are only 8 of the 12 pins visible.

    If you bought the 12 pin, but got the 8 pin, then you got the wrong part. Contact the person/company you bought it from and tell them they sent you the wrong part.

    Your connector should be like the one in this thread (but gray, not white). Note that it should have 12 points, but not all of the points will have terminal pins in them.
