Average is 16 gigs, 32 is for serious modeling/cad/editing. I know some guys run 32 for gaming, but 16 is sufficient in my experience.

I’ve been on a Mac for the last 9 years. I run 16gigs in my laptop. Does everything I need for my photography needs. Most of my photos are in the 80 meg range and I’ll occasionally combine 6 of those photos into one photo. Works fast as hell on my laptop. Got an iMac also but don’t use it for photos. Believe it has 8 gigs in it. Mac just works best for what I do with the photography and design software for the patches. My embroidery software all runs on an old windows laptop. Mainly because they don’t make much for Macs in that realm.

As far as windows my sons gaming computer has 8 gigs in it. He’s been complaining it seemed slow so I was going to run it up to 16 gigs for him. For a gaming rig running more intense games probably at least 32 gigs. I haven’t PC gamed in a long time. For what he plays I’m sure 16 should be fine.

What kind of sim rig are you talking about?

something with a seat/wheel/pedals/shifter and curved screen for iRacing and the like. I just know if I built something really nice, I’d probably never use it and my kids would end up breaking it.

Yeah, unless he's leaving a ton of shit open while he games, 2x8GB should do fine.
    I game/stream decently enough with 2x8GB 3200MHz and a 1070Ti..
Once I get my 3080 though, I will be upgrading RAM, Mobo and CPU.... :spending:

I'm pretty sure A320 only supports up to the 2000 series.. (Zen+)

There's a PC builder thread where I'm sure they're more knowledgeable..

It is interesting to see/learn what you guys are talking about though.

Ah yeah, my wife sometimes has a hard time watching me play FPS games.. Says I move around too much..
Used to play Gran Turismo back on PS2 and I think the last football game I played was Madden 2004.. NFL Blitz was the best one though, back on PS1.
I used to get the NHL ones but they changed up the controls and I fuckin suck at them now so I haven't bought one of those in a few years. The PGA Tour ones aren't bad, I used to like the Tiger Woods ones and then I had the Rory McIlroy one. I've been meaning to get the most recent one but I haven't yet. PGA Tour 2K21.

I've never owned rock band but I loved playing the drums on it when my buddy had it.
I just bought the most recent Call of Duty this past weekend. It's pretty fun indeed.
I don't know how bad your motion sickness is but Google says there are some settings you can change that might help with it
Or you just suffer through and get used to it eventually.
When I stream, I usually play Apex Legends or the newest Call of Duty.

I don't even have a system anymore. I sold my xbox 1 a while back. I highly doubt any setting would help. I usually got nauseated a few minutes in  :puke:

Ahh, I have my Xbox One that isn't even plugged in under the TV lol
I have the Switch that we actually use occasionally
Pretty much all my gaming is done on the compooper nowadays.

I've read people changing motion blur, FOV, and other settings to help motion sickness. Even taking Dramamine before playing
Some people say that just having a crosshair/dot in the middle of the screen helped. :notsure:
