Nerf bars vs. Sliders

Any suggestion on which ones are better and where to buy them. Thanks

 

depends on your needs.
if your going to be rock crawling, then sliders
if your just going for getting in truck, door ding protection, nerf bars.

Sliders give protection from door dings and minor rubbing as well as hardcord offroad trips and can be used as steps.
Nerf bars provide a little bit of protection from bumps but are not made to absorb hard hits. Probably a little better at being steps tho...

 

I didn't want steps, I wanted the protection so I went with sliders.

 

If you go trail riding, go with rock sliders. I've seen nerf bars buckled and ended up damaging the doors.

I say just go with sliders. Some of these nerf bars cost over $400 and you can get a nice set of sliders for $265 shipped. Like people said, the sliders are made to withstand all the weight of your truck whereas the nerf bars will EASILY cave in to that sort of pressure. I have sliders and my wife and passengers use them as steps just fine.
