Just got back from a run on the TWAT with @Thatbassguy & @ajmogen

 

Hey @Shellshock I saw in the MT thread that you'll be doing the clutch accumulator delete this weekend. Did you have issues installing it previously?
I've got one on my to do shelf. Curious what the bleeding process will be.

 

Yeah. I got lots and lots of air trapped in the line. It was also one day of warmth and it got cold so I called it quits after I was having issues and getting frustrated.

It was also first time bleeding clutch so that didn’t help either.

I didn’t get a good seal on my line when I installed it the first time. I eventually got it to seal but couldn’t get the line bled. I eventually gave up and decided to put the accumulator back and had the same issue (line full of air).

Round 2 should be <60 minutes now that I know what I’m doing.

It’s probably overkill but I’d have 2 of the things of fluid on hand just in case. I bled and bled and bled some more and bubbles kept coming out for quite a while with how jacked up mine was.

I got bored today so I finally got rid of the POS clutch accumulator. About 2 hours start to finish with lots of slacking off or forgetting where I set down my wrench.

I wish I had done this day 1. It’s amazing how much different the truck drives.

Got the front camera installed yesterday. Works well but it annoys me that it cuts the GPS signal so maps gets temporarily confused

Compressor mount showed up this week but havent gotten it put in yet.

 

Redline hood struts finally installed. Required modification of the SDHQ switch pro mount but nothing a few minutes of filing couldn’t solve. I went right above the S and arched it about halfway through the S.

Also added some more split loom to my wires that weren’t covered (oops)


Painted the softopper bed rails black. I had to after @Cav_BluTRD did it...

 

And hot damn that looks much much better.

 

Cleaned the truck up today. The outside anyway, the inside is a mess

 

Damn goose gear seat delete FINALLY shipped after 11 weeks

 

Glad these are actually packaged well
