So I’ve had my 285’s on for around a week or so now. For some reason I “slide” in spots I’ve never had problems before and sound like I’m driving like a madman or anything. I recently learned that I’m not sliding and it’s just some computer bull crap that thinks I am or whatever and decides to make my breaks freak out which leads to a very vibrant vocabulary in the cab and a very foul smell. From my understanding it’s a vehicle stabilization control or something along those lines. Is there anyway I can recalibrate turn it off or if turning it off is the only fix and that’s not a good idea what tire size can I put on that won’t lead to the computer kicking in? (I’m about to rip my hair out over this “project”)

Might also make sure your ebrake is operating normally. When it snowed I discovered that mine was freezing just on the passenger side due to a split in the ebrake cable. This caused me to slide in places and ways that were unexpected. Only happened on snow as it wasn’t always dragging much and had enough traction to overcome it on the pavement and drive normally.

From my experience the VSC zero point calibration does nothing in regards to it activating in turns at about 35-40mph. I've reset it, had the alignment shop reset it and still get it kicking on in sharper turns. I have been told that the sensitivity of it can be adjusted by a dealer but the local dealer claimed there is noting they can do because it's a safety feature and can not be adjusted.
I was told by the local dealer that these trucks are not supposed to be modified lol.

Another thing to look at is your tire pressure. If you run too much it will activate your VSC more easily. I dropped my tire pressure 3 lbs in my new tires and it cured that .
