6" rough country lift, sitting on 35s, cargo rack with fuel tanks, high lift, spare tire mount, LCE EGR delete, train horn, on-board air, tubing bumpers, Front KC lights, xbull whinch, roof top tent, alot of overlanding gear.
Just bought an axle with the elocker for my tacoma that wasn't an elocker from the factory. Swapping it is no problem other than the wiring. All the wiring that came off of the axle was 6" cut off from the axle. So I'm just wondering if a simple toggle switch with 12v would work? If so which 2 wires coming off the locker would I use?

    Well, sort of.
The diagram below is about as simple as it gets using an off the shelf toggle switch. Additionally, the two wires for the indicator lamp could be eliminated.
One needs to understand that the "lock vs unlock" action is achieved by reversing the rotation of the actuator motor by reversing the polarity of the two wires powering the motor. In addition there are internal limit switches to allow the actuator to "run" it's full range then stop at the correct point. There is also an internal spring that allows the actuator to reach it's stop point (and kill power to the motor) if the locking components in the diff are not aligned. When this condition occurs, moving the truck a few feet in a turn or on uneven terrain will cause "differential action" allowing the locker components to "mesh" and slide into place unloading the spring.

There is another version of this diagram floating around with a relay that allows use of the OE dash switch. Your wire colors may not exactly match the twenty plus year old diagram below but the positions of the wires/pins in the plug should.
