With the key in the "Off" position, push, and hold the ODO reset button. Then, while still holding the button, turn the key to the "On" position. NOT the "Accs" position. Hold the button until the ODO resets to 00000

Does the gasket need to be replaced at each oil change?

On my previous truck I used the same one every oil change for 10 years! Amazing I never lost it

Is the oil drain plug on all Toyotas the same size? Would anyone know the specific size of the drain plug on a 2011 Toyota 4.0L V6 (1GR-FE)? I am not asking about the wrench size to remove the drain plug but the spec'd size of the plug itself. Thanks in advance.

    Hello Chris 4X4,

I was just reading your drain tube post here. I like it. Does that hose stay on there permanent? Also, what is an oil catch can? Does our truck already have that? Can't I just leave the hose on permamently & let it drain into the "old" oil drain pan?

    Thanks
    :D

I take it off after each change, roll it up, and put it in the oil colector pan. It just slips on/off, so its easy.

My service plan just ended and I will be changing my oil. I have the 4 cylinder and had no clue that plug was there. I think it would be the same for the Cylinder anyway. I will find out tomorrow when I take a look. I wonder if my 4 runner had that the whole time and just never noticed it.

Here's what I found under my oil cap, should I be concerned or do anything about this?
