exhaust in co

anyone here in co have their pipes turned down at some point after the muffler and still pass emissions?

i tried to get my s10 tested back when i moved here from texas, i had duels with the turn downs right after the rear axle and they said their instruments could not reach so i had to get duels out the back.

I really like the sound that comes from a turned down pipe but it looks like it isnt possible here in co with all the emissions testing...

Have the exhaust shop put flanges on the pipe that goes out the back so you bolt it on when you have to go though emissions. worked on my S/C 01 with no problems.
