Im kind stupped on this one. It seems that my passenger side wheel gets god awful dirtier then the driver side front? When i first noticed this i checked to make sure that i didnt have a caliper hanging up. Drove in a straight line and applied the brakes and there is no pull to one side. I then pulled both front wheels and examined the brake pads for equal wear and they seem to be pretty close. Kinda stumped but if i had to diagnose this it seems that the passenger side is doing more of the braking then the driver side. Any imput to checking my calipers to be sure they are both equally sharing the braking load?

May not be braking any harder one side or the other, just the pad itself isn't manufactured the exact same. Might be the same brand and all but just so happens the chemicals and raw goods in the one pad is ever so slightly different than the other, causing more dust...

Yea everything else checks out, my last thought was slightly more brake drag (self drying) on the passenger side then the drivers side.

Passenger side wheel is closer to the edge of the road and dirt there. Perhaps that explains it?

Any free range dogs in your area?. There piss is dirt velcro. Once they mark your wheel,,it's a free-for-all for the next pooch.

But honestly im stumped on this one. Cosmicfires may have a point. I remember when I went to put my rolled in bed liner in I had a spot of rust where the sheet metal overlapped and spot welded. I asked my auto body guy about it and he says he's sees this alot that the passenger side seems to get the brunt of where and tear cuss its closer to the edge of the road

If that was true, wouldn't you notice that on all cars? Mine squeeks a wee bit when i first use the breaks. Just upgrade to a tundra swap

Does the county use the liquid road de-ice?. That also will turn into a brake dust/dirt glue on the wheel,,and vehicle.

The spoke design of some wheels can act like the blades of a fan. If one forced air "in" on the driver side, the same wheel would tend to blow "out" on the pass side (opposite rotation) carrying brake dust with it.

That's a very interesting theory. Wonder if it holds water. Im sure mine is mechanical, cause as stated above, it sgueeks every other time i use the brake. Seems to be when mostly hot. Not very loud, or long.

The brakes wear slightly faster on the curb side as well, due to the additional dust/dirt or whatever.

What would be the reason for that?

/\ more dust/debris on the edge of the road (passenger side) due to the crowning of the pavement to help rainwater get channeled to the curb, into a storm drain and off of the primary driving surface.

There may be a bigger issue I'm still trying to figure this out as well. UP until 1.5 months ago I had even amount of grime on the front wheels build up. Now my passenger side is getting way dirtier after I had my front diff replaced. It not only is dirtier than the driver side but it is happening 4x quicker than it used to get that dirty.

Well I had a inner pad that was almost totally worn out, and had chunks missing, I'm thinking the caliper was stuck/sticking. I went ahead and put in all new rotors, calipers, and pads, and it seems ok!
