    Blinglight BL5000K Review

Ok this is a review of the Blinglight BL5000K foglight kit that I recently purchased from Automatcentral.com.

Let’s put first things first, shipping, it was reasonably fast, and I personally like that the cost is already figured into the purchase price, which is my next point.

Next; Price isn’t bad considering the alternatives, dealer replacement, big money, or Walmart Cheapo especial. Not a bad price for what you are getting. To me this kit is kind of a happy medium, not the most expensive, but still goodquality.

Upon first impressions the lights themselves seem nice medium / heavy duty I like that it’s cast aluminum and not plastic. Seems like pretty rugged lights. Also want to point out that they have put together a good kit, Solid lights, all the wiring you could need. I was not a fan of the on /off switch that came with the kit for the price I don’t think it would be too much to ask to include one that fits in place of the factory blanks. With that said other than a different switch, the only thing I bought to help me with the install was 2 bolts that I used instead of the brackets to secure the lights to my bumper.

My truck didn’t come with factory fogs so these will be a nice addition to my truck.

Pre Install took the grill off for better access.

Next I removed the plugs they put in the bumper if your truck doesn’t come with factory fog lights.

Next I went ahead and ran my wiring, from passenger side zip-tieing to conceal wires as I went through the bumper then I ran it along the side of the drive fender and through the existing hole in the firewall, and up behind the dash to the open switch panel, where I chose to install my switch.

Next I hooked up the quick connectors to the lights.

Then using a bolts I secured the lights into the factoryfog light location.

Next screwed my relay to the inner wall of the driver fender and hooked up the battery.

Kit took about 30-45 minutes to install taking my time and trying to make everything look nice.
    .

And this is what you get when you’re done.

Final review; Not abad kit for the money, installs easily with minimal mechanical ability, and lights are good and bright enough to help you out when you need it FOG /Off-road. Room for improvement, it would be nice if the kit included a better switch, and 2 bolts for the guys who the brackets won’t work, overall I would recommend these as a consideration to anyone looking for a good option for new fog lights.

I would rate the kit an 8 out of 10, all things considered.
