I want to replace my brake pads. Looking for pads with more gripping power and less fade(also, do they make braided DOT approved brake lines for the Tacoma?). What do you recommend?

Why do you need more gripping power than a stock OEM pad? Do u tow a lot? I've used many aftermarket pads over the years, and while Hawk and EBC stuff is awesome, they definitely cause a lot more dust/dirtiness. Maybe you should look into getting upgraded rotors too.

I went with cheap Bosch quietcast pads on my last brake job about a month ago. Quite honestly I like them a lot better than stock. Stop better and have a much more progressive feel to them.

Duralast Ceramic. Very little dust if at all. Been great so far, 20,000 miles.

I vote for the ceramic as well. Pad change before last, I ended up with the usual "organic" crap. Needed pads then, and no ceramics to be found. It made a sort of dust that seemed to be able to create a molecular bond with my wheels. Got tired of cleaning the stuff off and it taking many minutes up to an hour of work. Ceramic and the water hose will knock the dust off.

I've always used AutoZone or Advanced ceramic. With the lifetime warranty, you buy 'em once and replace 'em as needed for free.
