    MGM Brothers and sisters :)

Don't have cash for new wheels currently nor need for new tires yet. Soooo thinking of plasti-dip for the wheels. Thinking the gray plasti-dip but like black also. Anyone done it? willing to share pics?

This would be on 17" TRD Sport Rims

    TIA!

Thanks - by dusting - you mean black first and then a light pass with the gunmetal?

Yes sir, I did three coats of black then held the gunmetal at about three ft high and spayed until it looked good. When it gets nicer up here (above freezing) I will wash the truck and get a better pic for you

I ran up close to there today... 2 new inches or so at the start and then snow squalls all the way home in the afternoon.

Hi y'all... I just joined the magnetic gray taco club a couple of weeks ago. Picked up a 2015 double cab 4wd.

Right now it's sitting on the stock 265/70/16 BFGs. I've been racking my brain and browsing/searching this site like crazy trying to figure out how large a tire I can go for 16" and 17" wheels without a lift or cutting/rubbing. I think it's 265/75/16 and 265/70/16, but it seems that everyone in here that's running them also has 5100 shocks in the front and/or they needed to remove the front mud flaps. Are those things going to be necessary?

    Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Thank you! Lots of good info in here for sure!

Which wheel size were you thinking? I'm looking to go 17x8.5 on 265/70/17... or 16x8.5 on 265/75/16.

I use Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection as my paint sealant. There are many quality sealants out there though. You can find it here: The steps you listed are correct but they are not going to remove your scratches & swirl marks. You will need to use a light compound or polish to remove them depending on how bad they are. Head over to the detail section of this forum & you will find more information.

I generally don't clay without planning to do at least minor paint correction after, as claying can induce marring. I also think wax is a waste of time after sealants these days. They aren't as sterile looking as they used to be.
