Hi all...relatively new to the off-road world, and just finished installing my OME lift, ARB bumper, all-terrain tires, etc. I live in Tennessee, but I'm planning a trip out to Colorado to drive the trails around Silverton this summer with my brother. I really want to bring my two shepherd-husky dogs. They do great in vehicles, but I'm concerned about them riding in vehicles on bumpy roads all day. On the one hand, that's what this trip is all about...trail driving, camping, dogs, great scenery...on the other hand, I worry the dogs might just get bounced around all over the back seat (they sit on the hard plastic of the folded down seat). Any thoughts?

There are tons of people on here that take their pups wheeling with them. They do get bounced around but so does everything else in the truck so they will be fine. Do your pups a favor and get them some padding to lay on though. Either a dog bed, foam, moving blankets, pillows, or anything soft/grippy to keep them comfortable and planted in one general area instead of ice skating across the plastic seat backs. I usually toss down a few moving blankets to make the dogs a pad and after a long day of wheeling my pups are usually as worn out as I am but they always seem to love it

Take the dogs, you wont regret it and neither will they. I have brought my dogs with me just about everywhere in all different types of vehicles and they always thank me for it in the end.
