I own a 2011. It is my wives . It has the 2.5L engine . It is an awesome little vehicle. She really likes it. Not sure if that helps but if I was going to replace it I would defiantly get her one of the newer ones.;)

Mother in law bought one yesterday. I guess she likes it, seems like a nice vehicle.

I have a 2011 commuter RAV4 and my wife has the 2014 which I believe is identical to the 15 (my taco is the garage king lol). The 2014 is much nicer than the older body style and really is a great car for the price. The mpgs are slightly lower in the AWD version which is what we own XLE model. I have never had a problem in bad snow storms and I never had to take the Taco because the snow was too deep. And in the end you are getting Toyota quality. The drawbacks are that you can't load it like a larger suv. You put 5 people and luggage in it you will notice it feeling sluggish but capable. That's why I have my Taco and I would not tow with the RAV4. Overall very good option for a small commuting suv and we love ours.

The 2.5L only seems awesome because you haven't driven the 3.5L V6 version. 276 hp in a lightweight compact SUV. :D Next Taco engine.

My wife has a 14 limited. She loves it. I kinda like it too. Small steering wheel compared to the taco, which is weird when switching cars....

My wife got her 2005 7 yrs ago when her 96 Tacoma was bought back and loves it. Not long after buying it we had 5 adults, a grill, and several coolers without using the roof rack. Loves it..if I wanted a SUV I would get one. Hers is 4 wheel drive and never gives her any issues. 130K now and only non routine thing was windshield wipers breaking, her fault for using them when they were frozen to the window.

we have a 2013 and like it. one recommendation, if you can afford the upgraded package, go with it, especially if you both drive it. adjusting mirrors and seats gets rather annoying (upgraded package has memory for some things).
