Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
But at least Toyota will likely support customers and fix them, vs the competition who may or may not feel obligated to do anything..

Then there are people like me that also want a manual.. And are willing to get that MPG to have it. :)

To go to a large truck, around town would be fine for me. But the 1st time I got my play truck stuck or rolled in the woods and my full size was completely impossible to take back and rescue it. I would be shit out of luck, and pissed off. The fact is that while a full size can do most jobs easier, or better than the Tacoma. It cannot do some of the other jobs. The Tacoma is capable of doing all the same and more jobs, with a little extra effort or planning. For me the choice is easy. For others, entirely based on their own preferences and needs.

Yeah That JAG is nice but it is one of those many exotics I love to see on the road , not in my garage. Corvette is 'exotic' enough and a great value for what you get, . Plus I really don't think I could afford that as a toy and would not buy that or a BMW used, and...no drop top. I think if I were going to choose a Luxury coupe it would be the Q60 or RC350 Used.

I never went off roading in the Tacoma. Only used it to tow and drop a boat. I think I want the larger truck, I was kicking it around last year. But decided to wait to see if a diesel Tacoma was on the horizon for 16. I don't put a lot of miles on a truck so Fuel economy is moot. But if I am going to get 18 MPG towing I would rather get a larger truck and lose a few MPG.

Like I said, if towing is your number one concern honestly a mid sized truck isn't for you. Honestly a Diesel midsized truck is just going to cost you more off the bat. The cost of Diesel is usually high enough that you'll never make up the difference in price and you'll still be trying to tow with an undersized vehicle. Go get something full sized with a V8 or the Ecoboost and you will be happier when you have to tow any sort of distance that you have more than enough truck for the job.

I'd like to get one at the end of 2016. So probably a 2017 model. Hoping my '02 with 147,000 miles still runs good by then. It should as I only average about 11,000 per year.

I'm getting a 2016 AC V6 SR5 as soon as they hit the market. I miss my Tacoma.

    Edit 5/5/5: I could not wait and purchased a 2015 DCSB V6 SR5.

After having sold my Tacoma years ago, I'm back in the market and trying to decide between deals on the 2015s or a new gen. Toyota talking about the smoothness of the new v6 has me curious. I always thought the one lackluster thing about my 2009 was the sound and feel of the v6.

Trade off for a proven bulletproof engine is worth it to me, had no hesitations picking a 2015 I'm familiar with and know what I'm getting.

I won't be buying one now. I think my second gen will last till the 4th is ready and my wife just bought an 2015 F150 which will probably get better mileage so...
