My brother has a Ford F-350 diesel, 4WD crew cab. 6.4L motor. His neighbor has a little Kubota 4WD diesel tractor. L series I think. He says he can hook up to my brothers truck and out pull him "easy". His tractor only has 35hp. The Ford has 700 foot pounds of torque. I don't see it happening. I can't find anything on the amount of torque the tractor has. Any ideas??

My brother isn't wasting time on the challenge. His neighbor just came over and saw that he was pulling stumps out with the Ford and said the Kubota would do way more than the truck ever could.

Tug -o-wars are won and lost by traction and weight. Tractor hp is calc way different than truck hp. 35 hp tractor tires have about as much of a contact patch on the rear alone as a set of (4) 35x12.5 truck tires. Let us know which u-joint breaks first.

It's the tractor's gearing the neighbor is referring to.
