Not the best looking car but I'd take it in a heart beat. It will be a little rocket that's for damn sure.

    Me too.

    Agree

I think you're correct. Would love to see an AWD version but, bet the cost would take it into GTI R territory.

    Yup yup

Dont forget ford is releasing an AWD focus RS soon.

True rally car style to compete with evo and wrx sti.

I'm more excited about the rs focus.
The motor is amazing which is used in my speed3.

The current honda civic is a bloated uninspired blob and handles like crap compared to what they did in early 2000. I think the civic r would compete against the focus st which is a fun light car

Right on. I had a civic Si with the 1.6 VTEC 160hp. It was a blast to drive. The one weak spot I found was that with factory clutch it would slip when I was really banging through the gears.

I've been tempted to drive a speed3 and in fact just put it up for consideration for another TW user but, damn I'm afraid I'd be sucked in and have to have it.

Yup they were part of what used to make Honda a cool brand. I used to autocross a CRX Si. It too was a fun ride...cheaper to own and still a hoot. Too bad Honda (and Acura) seems to have lost their way recently. I'm hoping with products like the (new to the US) the Type R can restore some of the cool cars.

I would like to see what the price will be for the Type R. The New Focus RS is supposed to be priced about the same as an STI. Hopefully the Type R will be a little cheaper. I cant see myself dropping that much coin on a boosted FWD. If I actually had a Type R I would have to chain a starved pit bull/rottmix to the car just to make sure it wouldn't get stolen or stripped every time I parked it. Plus it would stop all the 18 year old VTEC fanboys from taking selfies with it.
