So this happened night before last but I thought I would post it here for anyone thinking of getting a security system. We've live in a nice (middle class) upscale neighborhood and we have very little issues. We have protection for inside the house so someone will regret breaking "into" the house but I never expected something like this.

I was checking my bill for this month and each day I check and see if the front / back door cameras triggered at anytime. We have a inside camera also but that is more for checking on things while we are away. Anyway at 2:29AM I noticed the front door camera had triggered and this is what I found....

Called the local Police and they came out and took the video and made a report. Honesty I could give a shit about the wreath (in fact the video was almost comical). It's just the fact that someone stole something from me and quite honestly it burns my ass.

So with that said, I highly recommend anyone thinking of getting a security system to do so. It worked perfectly in this situation and hopefully they will catch the person that did this. There were a few things missing from neighbors houses that night also.

Xmas in April! Who the fuck steals a wreath?!? I wouldn't mind a camera, neighbor just had a scooter stolen from their patio during the day. I was home with the front door open. They would've had to walk right past me.

I can't stand a thief either! Work your butt off like we do and buy your own damn wreath! The comical part is the her wiping the finger prints off! lol, she didn't know about the camera, BAM, clear as the bright blue sky!!! Best of luck on the case!

Highly recommended. We bought a whole house automation system that controls everything.

My wife "made" the wreath. I think she was a little more pissed than me (rightfully so)

If you live in a neighborhood with meetings and stuff I would email the video to the president and have that person email it to all residents and hopefully embarrass the hell out of that girl, most likely someone's drunk kid

Embarrass her? I want her in jail. If she'll do this what else might she steal?

Jail would be nice, or even the thought of it. I know kids that I went to high school who got publicly humiliated and it set them straight at the time, not sure about now though

Wow, funny that she stopped for several seconds and looked it over. Seems like she was messed on drugs or something.

My bass boat was stolen last year. I believe a thief is one of the lowest scums on the earth.

    enough to go over stuff
That sucks. I have dog signs on my gates which are double latched. I have a security company sign and a fake camera clearly visible on the front door. Its only there because a package went missing once. I wish I had a real one but dont have the extra cash. Just want people to pass on my house and prey on the next one.

Total BS, this just burns me too. And the whole wipe down thing just makes it even more sick.

The video is super clear and I sure hope they catch her.

Looks to me like a drug addict stealing stuff to sell for their next fix. They'll take anything.

Visual deterrents work best for thieves
It needs mentioned that those who think this person will get jail time are living in a fairy land

Yup.. No one in their right mind is going to risk going to jail over stealing a wreath. Damn crackheads.

Sorry for your loss  (video was comical, wiping her prints) Hopefully they catch the dumb broad.
