Okay maybe I am nitpicking here but I dont really think so. I have only had my 2015 Tacoma for less than 2 weeks and already the driver side seat is looking all "distorted." It is actually worse than it looks in the pictures as the problem goes the length of the seat. Left pic is passenger seat which has gotten use and right is driver seat. I am just worried if it looks like this in just days, what is going to look like in years. Last vehicle, a Tacoma, lasted me 11 years and the seats were in great shape. What do you guys think???

    thanks...................

The Dealer replaced my Drivers seat bottom padding and cover on my 2015 with less than 3000 miles on it because of sagging and bunched up cover in middle and frayed edges where yours is wrinkled It just kept getting worse. Its great now and as it should be. Problem now is when they pulled the seat they hit the door panel with the bottom steel seat brackets and now I'm waiting on a new door panel. But at least they are taking care of me

Have a heat gun? I'd try to lightly heat that spot up to see if it'd iron out. It's probably what the dealer would try to do if you took it to them. Or let them try it all together and see if they have a better solution since it's still kinda new.

Edit* come to think of it a little more. I'd dampen that spot and then use the heat gun.

Yes, I think I will see what they have to say about it first. Thanks.

So I brought it in to the dealer, they felt that it was just the fabric so they ordered a new bottom seat fabric. Brought it back the next day and they told me it was all set. They said the cushion had somehow folded in but they fixed it. Before I even got home from the dealership the seat was in the same shape it was in when I first brought it to them. So I rescheduled another appointment and this time they ordered me a new bottom seat cushion. All is well now.

At least they worked with you. Some dealerships would give you the old "this is a characteristic of the seat." Lol

No I don't think you are nit picking. New $35K truck shouldn't have any defects like this that you have to live with. Glad the dealer is taking care of it. Like you said it could become a bigger a few years down the road. Just curious. What trim level do you have Base SR5 TRD or Sport??

I had mine repaired under warranty and now the back is fraying too. I've only got 5000 miles on the truck and I'm tired of this already! I baby my truck so to me and based on all of these same issues with others, I gave in and ordered and will have Katzkins installed. Problem solved

Good to hear it worked out and the dealer stepped up instead of using diarea of the mouth excuses to not help.

Actually they were very "understanding." They even gave me a rental both times. A big a$$ tundra.

Thanks. I'm looking at 2015 SR5 and Sport. Don't like the fake scoop on the sport but like the color matched grill surround. Guess it all can be changed around.

Sounds like you have a good dealer.

With it being a new truck....I would keep taking it back to the dealership until they get it right. That is what the warranty is for.
