Wiring Bed Light Kit to Truck Cap Dome Light

Do you think this will work?

I have:

• A Slimline LED Dome Light from truckoutfitterplus.com

• A third brake light in my Leer cap

• A 4-prong wiring harness

• An LED bed light strips from mattgecko

First: I'm going to setup the third brake light and dome light with the harness, and make sure everthing works.



Second:Wire in a switch from Radio Shack into the dome light wires running off the harness.



Third: Wire the bed light kit between the new switch and the dome light.



Then when I hit the dome light switch, the dome and bed lights come on.


Has anyone done anything like this?



I'm a total n00b when it comes to lighting and wiring.
