Too poor to list anything interesting.

I figured I'd just turn my sensor off. Our roads down here are crap, so I didn't want the cam saving all that footage for every pothole. And if something does happen, I can just stop the recording.

Question. I got the same camera, but can't get it to record in loop mode. Any suggestions? eBay seller I got it from has had me go through turning functions on and off in different configurations, but no luck.

That sucks. Have you tried using a different SD card? Can you verify you have the proper class rating on your SD card? I think you need a class 10 card to work properly.

    Hope that fixes the issue!

Its a "0801 Ambarella A2S60" w/ GPS & no internal storage. You can get it w/o GPS and/or up to 32G of internal storage. The only thing I don't like about it is the external storage max capacity is only 32G. I got it off eBay for under $80 delivered. Just beware of fakes if you go the fleabay route.

How long does 32gb last before it starts writing over video?

I honestly don't know. If I have time this weekend, I'll pull mine and try to add up the time stamps and let you know. Hopefully someone else can chime in and give you a good answer.

Does anyone have there's hard wired on a gen 2? I just got the Cowon AW1 for forward and I have a Cowon AC1 for rear facing. Just want to see where y'all tapped into. The AW1 hooks right to the battery and I really don't want to do that so if I can find a good place in the interior fuse panel that would be great. The AC1 needs a 12v constant and ignition signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you could add a fuse to the cigarette lighter? However, it'll be key on when you do that.

I have mine wired in to an aux fuse panel. So I can turn it on even when the truck is off and key is out. I ran it up the driver side pillar and put the 5V inverter behind the rear view mirror. There was enough room between the carpet and the ceiling to put it. I then ran the power down the pillars.

I'll try to get you a photo later, as I didn't take any of the install process.

I just bought a mini 0805 so we'll see if I have any decent contributions to add. Living in Colorado Springs, I'm sure I'll catch some gold

    Bam.

    Here it goes.

    I took off the caps
    [IMG]

Used a 10mm deep socket to remove the bolts
    [IMG]

Pull off the cover. And that's where I ran the wire. You'll notice it with the green zip tie.

    Here's the adapter I used
    [IMG]

I put the power cable across the top part of the carpet overhead and fed it to the middle opening. I connected that to the cam.

Again. This is running to an aux fuse panel that's in the engine bay with always on power.

With dash cams running on what I'm assuming is 5vdc, if you tap them into a constant hot wire so it's always on, how long will it run before it runs your battery down? I would assume it can run for a good solid week and a half or two before it becomes a possible problem right? Anybody have any insight?
