Look into URD equal length headers. They should have some top end gains without the lowend loss that Long Tubes have. They are a bit more money though.

The equal length long tube should give more low end torque and lower the torque peak in the power band. Don't think you should lose any top end either, but I know they help in the low end.

    Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately the equal length headers don't work with the air injection system on 2012+ tacomas..... They are making it more difficult to modify the same engine since 05. owell

They are in the works. Last I heard URD shipped out the prototype for testing.

That is the next big step for you, the MAF-cal is the cheapest way to adjust the f/a ratio and works great but no timing adjustment...

I don't have dyno results but after installing 32" tires my truck was much slower, after a bunch of mods I was almost back to stock 0-60 times 8.1, after the maf-cal I got down to 7.05 with lots wheel spin... so the maf-cal will unlock tons of power because the stock computer doesn't compensate enough for mods and the fuel map is terrible and needs to be fixed... lean at low rpm, rich in closed loop and a high rpm lean out. I'm currently running 12/1 during harder acceleration.

The other thing to consider is ignition timing, according to my dash command the 4.0 is only running 22 deg under acceration, this is another reason these trucks feel weak sometimes is lack of timing...
