You can...just don't shift on the fly over 62 (I think that's what the manual says).

Howdy. I'm new, from AZ, and am getting a 2015 Tacoma 4wd Double cab with the 4.0L. I've been seriously considering the factory s/c, but am having second thoughts. This truck is going to be my daily-driven vehicle, and I'd like it to last for a long time. Can anyone give me pros and cons?

I honestly don't have a clue as I'm too broke to ever look into it. However I can tell you the factory supercharger is going to be the safest bet for more power, really its your only option for more power...

Sure. It's installed by the dealer. You get warranty for the life of the warrenty. I got the 8 year warranty, the SC is covered. At 100k you'll have to do plugs, if they must pull the SC, expect a hefty $400 bill. Also, there is a recommended 100k service on the SC. You probably will need to replace the SC belt every 30k miles with a better one if you're smart. Expect prices from $4700 to $6000, depending on you're dealers in the area. Mine was $5900, went to a more experienced not idiot dealer, talked to the tech, they gave me a rental, 3 days, no rush.

What you need to do is start reading here and soaking up info about the SC. Don't start thinking about the small pulley and bigger fuel pump etc etc, getting a boost gauge. If your asking such basic questions now you haven't done your homework or know much about this stuff.

Now that's out of the way, it REALLY wakes the truck up. Lots more HP. Just do it.

I made a big post to a guy just 3 weeks ago, it will explain more. Find it. Search my posts, I don't have a lot.

    Get to work, read up!
