    Just the basics
You must have missed the "taillights" part of my comment. Go look at the side pictures for both the current Tundra and 3rd gen Tacoma. TRD decals are similar, fender shape is squared, cab lines look alike. In the interior the 3rd gens will have two tone interior details similar to the Tundra line. Steering wheel is the same but Toyota does this as a cost cutting measure.

This isn't anything new for Toyota to try to keep differing truck lines looking similar. The first gen 4Runners shared everything with the pickup line of those years. 2nd gen 4Runner and the last pickup gen prior to the Taco were similar.

    The similarities exist.

All cars vehicles from the same manufacturer have certain similarities.

Just like songs from the same band sound similar, or beers from the same brewery taste similar.

    So what's the big deal?

Tan is an old color for US Toyota, they are just bringing back from the dead for the trucks, as it was an option for the FJ Cruisers.

Me being an old fart that I am, I like it.

Is it just me or does that show no locker on a TRD OR in the underskirt shot?

Or is it just a display and they will include it on the sold vehicle?

Are you kidding? You are going to see old geezers trading in their beige Camrys' to purchase a Tacoma Off Road in this colour. It will never leave their driveway.

As far as I know, the Offroad will have a locker, I just don't think they managed to get one onto the concept truck yet. When I looked at it at the show I saw no locker on it or even a locker button in the inside.

I don't mind similarities between platforms. Makes it easier to find parts. We've harvested fenders off of 4runners for our 94 pickup, they're exactly the same.

The all tan FJ was a Trail Teams special edition. In fact the only TTSE to be re-released due to demand.

Do you think Toyota knows this? Tell them! I am sure it is unintentional.

Exactly. Beat me to the punch. It's called manufacturer similarities. Go look at the interior/exterior of any Audi for instance. It's intentional. In fact, I wish the exterior of the Tacoma looked MORE like a smaller Tundra & less like what it looks like. That's why I take exception to someone claiming it looks like a Tundra because personally I wish it did.

No shit shirlock. Welcome to TW.

I didn't say it looked like a Tundra. I said there are similarities. Go ahead and take "exception". Make a mountain out of mole hill. This isn't a big deal to most but apparently you think it is. Lighten up ladies.

I'm not the one getting worked up here. I can't disagree w/o you assuming I'm worked up? Some people are so sensitive.

Butt dynos are sensitive around here. Tundra has soft seats. So does Colorado.

I actually like the tan color. Hope to get a 2016 or no later than a 2017 TRD Off Road.

I qualify as an old geezer/old fart. The tan will be a nice color change from white or silver. and no, my truck does not just sit in the drive way.
