96 Tacoma movie from the Denver Auto Show

When I posted my pictures I forgot to upload this 90 second movie. It shows the truck as it spins around. I've very carefully chosen the background music. If you like the truck you will like the music. If you think the truck is ugly, you will find the music ironically amusing. Everyone goes home happy.

I'd like to point out the truck is up on a rotating platform, so this is a very low angle view of the truck. This angle exaggerates the... unique look of the grille and bumper. The front end looks better in person than in this video.

Oh, that fucking cheese grater grill.

 

I'm probably buying a '16 . But I gotta' admit, this particular grill, with all the chrome.... Yep. Cheese grater .

 

LOL. The music made me snap. It's like this. Dark color. Black grill. Soften the snoz. Black wheels. Aftermarket smoke tail lights. For starters.

 

I can already see this taking place:

'15 owner: Hey... Hey, you want some grated cheese for your '16 Taco? 'cuz I love grated cheese on my tacos.
'16 owner: Yeah. Right. STFU.
'15 owner: No man, for real. I mean, I got the cheese... and you... you got the cheese grater.
'16 owner: OK, I get it. That was really funny the first 15 times.
'15 owner: Dude, I heard your '16 Taco was moonlighting at Taco Bell as...
'16 owner: Yes, as a cheese grater. You told me that yesterday.
'15 owner: So, what octane are you using? Medium cheddar or sharp cheddar??

Looks like it was in an accident and taken to mexico to be repaired with lots of bondo, left over truck parts from dodge and lots of clear coat...

 

Maybe it's not that bad. Maybe it's just the very low angle.

Agreed Tme. What a difference the rims make. I am down with that, and I am picky about my rims. Reminding me of home. Spring Valley native.

I dont know guys, Im not getting one anytime soon but I like it a lot. There will obviously be options to drop the grill, which I hated on our 2011 as well. Goo dluck to anyone who gets one!

 

Yah, imma wait until i see the lower spec'd ones with a black grill before making a conclusion on teh look. Most likely won't be shopping for an OR anyways.

I am slooowly warming up to the black grill, again with a dark color of paint on the truck.

Even that will require one of those aftermarket strap on grill inserts.

I am a four banger, but the 7GR excites me. There is movement in my pants.

 

I think the grill looks decent when it's not trying to be too gawdy. Looks good in this pic.

Agree. That blue is an acceptable-no good color. taco woodeye has got wood now. It looks like two different trucks.

 

As someone who is 90% sure I'm buying a Gen-3, that was harsh. But I gotta' admit, really funny!
