Thanks for tuning in and checking out my build. First and foremost, I do not claim to be an expert on any of the subject matter. I just saw things that I liked, did some research (a lot of thanks to tacomaworld) and pretty much slapped it on to the best of my abilities and here it is. Sit back, relax, open up a cold one, and enjoy.

In the beginning all I had was a 2013 Silver TRD Off-Road but it would soon all change.

I appreciate any comments, tips, suggestions for the build. This is a continuous project. I mainly use my taco for camping (mostly in Colorado since family is there), shooting trips, pulling peeps out, and adventure. Thanks again for checking out my build.

Nice truck! How do you like the Toyo's?

 

Nice meeting you Matthew. Probably gonna need some of your welding expertise in the future. Hope to see you in future meets. Hit me up if you can go in June to Colorado.

Rogue, The Toyo's are pretty sweet. The only tire I can compare it to is the stock BFG rugged terrain. They are a bit noisier than the BFG but it grips hell of a lot better on-road or off-road. They look aggressive and slick. It's the in between from the Open Country A/T and M/T. you kinda get a bit of both. I'm not doing any extreme mudding but lately there has been a lot of rain in Dallas/Ft Worth area and I have yet to get stuck in the mud. I figured between camping trips to various places (mostly Colorado) and driving around town, it's good bang for my buck. Also with 45,000 mile warranty, I feel pretty good about abusing then on the road and trails. I'm sure it will do well with any application you put it through especially with the terrain you have in the Northwest.

 

I had the Toyo Open Country M/T's on my '09 Tacoma and they were awesome in the mud and off-road, but on the highway I wasn't a fan. Thanks for the review. I am considering the R/T when my Cooper's wear out.

I don't know if you'd call it expertise! I'm not sure if that Colorado trip will happen for me....It would take a lot of convincing of my mother.
