The whole plan was to get a little commuter car until the wife finished pharmacy school and we were 100% settled in hsv.

 

yeah but you said not too long ago that you were gonna give the redesign a year or two and try to slide back in a Tacoma? change your mind and want full size I see though.

 

I was waiting on information on the new tacoma. If I had said I was going to pursue a full size if I didn't like the new tacoma then it would have sparked discussion haha. I saw the new one, was very meh about it, and started lightly perusing used f150's. Stumbled across a deal I couldn't resist with financing I couldn't resist so I went for it.

I'm very happy with my decision so far. I got the ecoboost and have been getting much better mileage than I was ever getting with the taco. That being said, I miss the taco's daily driving size and appearance.

 

I got ya. there are times I miss having a full size. especially with the new house trying to get the yard back in to shape and such (2 acres). not a lot of yard but its not real easy hauling 8 ft lumber and project stuff in the back of a short bed taco with a toolbox in it.

 

The bed's not too much longer on mine. But dat tow rating doe!

 

so does that mean you are gonna make the jeep a trailer queen?

 

I'll still drive around town now and then but as far as offroading, yes it will be riding on a trailer to parks. I honestly think highway mileage is rougher on it than wheeling. It needs gears bad and to be honest, if I'm going to drop the coin for gears, I'm not going to choose highway favorable gears anyways.
