There's a bunch of pics in the OME suspension thread already which I'm sure you could find with a quick search. But here's mine anyway. 882's, Dakars, D6XL extra leaf, 1.5" AP Shackles, 10mm trim packers and 1" body lift.

Pretty tame OME build here but 881s in front, Dakars in back. Riding on 265/75/16 Bridgestone Duelers. Perfect for me.

Looks like 285/75 is the common size for 882s. Anyone run 33x12.50 on 882s

Bumping this old thread. I’ve been trying to get through the OME specific thread as already suggested as well as a few other helpful threads. Just as OP here, I’m looking for photos and feedback on this specific set up along with tire size. I’m torn between 881’s while removing a leaf or two from the rear springs or going 882 with the full pack and no AAL. I’m lifting a 4wd DCSB.

What makes you believe you have to remove a leaf with 881s? You don't.

Since you have a 4WD DC, order the 882s. As for the Dakars, with or without AAL - your call based on what's in the rear. Do you have a cap? Carry additional 200+ lbs in the rear? If so, I'd recommend ordering the AAL with the Dakars. It'll be preassembled and you won't have to worry about adding it later.

I don't have any decent pics but check my profile/media and you can see what 881s/Nitros/Dakars+AAL look like with a cap and misc odds/ends in the bed. Not a 4WD and I don't plan on a plated bumper so I went with the 881s. Current tires are 265/75/16s but looking at moving to 255/85s.

I was thinking I’d have to remove a leaf or two to get rid of the rake if I went 881’s on a DCSB and being 4wd. Could be wrong. I’ll add a topper if I ever find one so I know that will drop the rear some if that day ever comes.

Yeah, just go with the 882's. I think you'll be fine. There are some 2wd runners on here with 882s and aren't rolling around with that stinkbug look.

Best would be touch base with @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc via PM and see what they suggest. Awesome outfit to work with and they'll square you away. Even knock a little off because you're here on TW

@HeadStrong Off-Road is another class act - I considered ordering from them but wanted to avoid the sales tax.

Might be a stiff ride on a PreRunner. I'm still looking to add weight on the front of mine and I'm 4WD now.

Aren’t 882’s the same spring rate as 881’s? Why would they be a stiffer ride?

Yeah they are. I was more suggesting he run an 880 if he isn't going to have any weight. I was speaking against running that spring rate without being 4WD AND having added weight. But some people aren't bothered by the stiffness.

anyone running 882s on Bilstein shocks? Been debating between 881 and 882 for my front end, but not sure how they'll work with my front shock setup. Heard the 882s are pretty stiff unless you're running them on the lowest setting
