I've been looking into getting a Rigid Industries SR 20" Combo light bar but I started looking at Vision X too because a friend of mine has a 35" Vision X bar mounted on his lower bumper space on his 03' SR5 Tacoma. I always see everyone buying either Rigid or the chinese bars and I haven't seen too many people on here with Vision X. Which do you think is better, Rigid or Vision X?

Vision X for sure!! If u got the $. Pretty pricey though.

I might suggest a vision x clone. Depending on which bar yer looking for. What does your friend have?
There are evo prime clones on eBay from China. Of which all mine are those. And they are pretty frickin sweet. I love them. My single row outshines probably most double rows. Except maybe ones with 5 watt leds. Even better than the osrams from what I can tell so far. Haven't seen enough output pics yet.

Keep in mind, that the finish on the housing (on the evo prime clones) isn't the greatest. Not powder coated. But who cares. From vision x my 42" would've costed like $1200. EBay clone was $350. I plan on getting a second to double stack and have more light than one from vision x.

But if youve got the cash, get vision x for sure!
Unless of course it's one of the regular xmitters. Then rigid might be a better choice. Cheaper. Or if you really want the best get the xmitter prime extreme.

Edit: and if you haven't stumbled upon this thread or truck yet, check it out:D

Caleb, do we get a vote here lol not all lights are created equal :D

At the end of the day it is what's going to fit your needs the best.
What style of driving you are doing, typical type of terrain you travel on, at what speed and overall preference.
These questions will help you dial in the right beam pattern.

Here is a simple stacked chart showing our beam patterns spread that can help you get an idea of which might be right for you.

Thank you for considering us for your lighting needs!

We use the new E2 & SR2 optics on our personal rigs and wouldnt have it any other way. There are very few options on the market that are comparable to the quality of light output from them. Plus they are tough as rocks.

Can't go wrong with both companies. I like RI because they are local to me and I support local business.
