TX Pro - TRD - 2012 - Gray - All stock (no modifications yet)
    Hi All,

I'm looking for some good advice on deciding which suspension, what tires and the type of bumper to purchase in order to modify my Tacoma 2012 TX Pro for some off roading this summer? I live in UT and I've a choice to take this to 4 wheel parts or a Toyota dealership. Therefore, any good places in UT you guys know of, would be a plus!

I currently have all stock as shown in the picture. I am a beginner when it comes to off roading so I am not looking to do any extreme off roading. I want to keep as stock as possible.

    Suspension:
I am not looking for a high lift, I only want to do a 1" to 3" lift and my choices so far as Pro Comp or Rough Country - Any recommendations?

    Tires:
I am not looking for all mud tires, I would like to get all terrain if possible?
    Current: 265/70/R16
    Desire: 285 and up?

    Front Bumper:
I could go with a All-Pro or a Demello from puretacoma.com - Any recommendations? Likes or dislikes?

    Thanks!

P.S. I've a tight budget, but I also want to get best/highly rated parts!

I would suggest that you find an offroading group, then take it out stock. You will learn what you need for what kind of stuff you want to do. That will keep the cost down and let you get what you want and need with more knowledge and experience.

But I'm a 5 lug guy in a state with only one "mountain"..... but that is what I would do.

stay away from rough country and procomp.

You can put together a nice quality 2 inch lift with Bilstien 5100's in all 4 corners and a 2in add a leaf for right around 400 bucks. Set the fronts at 1.75 with the sock coils and you wont need any aftermarket UCA's
