I'm considering moving into some Cooper S/T Maxx in 255/85-R16. I'm currently running 265/75-R16 Duratracs on TRD 'bead lock' rims. I'm running about 2" - 2 ¼" lift on Toytec BOSS coil overs.

    Will the new tires rub?

I'd prefer not to do a cab mount chop and minimal trimming if any and why I'm avoiding the 285/75-R16s.

    Steering stops, full stuff, etc.

I like trial and error but thought it best to ask those who may have actual apples to apples experience specific to my set up. :notsure:

well again its the same width as your current tire so if you rub frame now you will still, you will need to cut and smash your pinch weld area for best clearance as the new size is around 1 inch taller give or take.

Those are typically both the same tire.An inch taller i believe give or take.I don't think you'll have a issue.

I just made the move with the same amount of lift. I flexed it a little this past weekend with zero rubbing. You'll be fine - and really happy with the taller tires.

No rubbing with stock wheels and a slightly taller lift (then OP) - 3"

@58 Siesta which 255/85r16s are those? They look really good how they fill the wheel well. 265's look small too small with my lift which is about the same as yours. Just threw some cheap Craigslist 285/75/16s on my truck and they're way
    Too wide!

33.4" diameter, 59 pounds - I think. Ignore the price. It's not important.
