The flange that bolts up is quite a bit of steel as well as more time on the plasma table and time at the press brake. More weld time for us. The bolt on also uses quite a bit of grade 8 hardware which isn't cheap.

    Never enough
The original thread you referenced in your OP above makes these sound like glorified running boards more than actual sliders. Can you clarify what kind of use/abuse these are intended to hold up to? If they can't be used as real sliders they seem quite pricey. I'm not trying to knock your product, I just want a better idea of their intended use.

EDIT: after rereading the referenced thread I think you may have been talking about other companies sliders when describing them as not for off-road use etc. Apologies

Correct on the edit. They're being fabricated from the same steel and DOM tubing as all sliders on the market. The sliders will bolt to the chassis using factory holes and all grade 8 hardware. The design wraps around the chassis as well, essentially boxing in the frame. And toward the rear, where there is no room to box the chassis in, I use what are called beam clamps to clamp the sliders against the chassis. These clamps are commonly used to lock i-beams together and the ones I am using are rated to hold 12,000 lbs each. Regular cab models will use 4, Access Cab and Double Cabs use 6.

They're not really the same... AllPro still requires frame drilling for full strength, we require no drilling whatsoever and will still obtain the same strength. We also only use DOM tubing, not HREW. I will get pictures up very soon on the truck, in the air and on the trails.

Just a thought. With the Tacoma frame rust issues I am wondering if you should have weep holes in the bend radius to allow any water that accumulates between the frame and slider to drain out.

Hey all, just wanted to say I got the chance to swing by Joe's place yesterday so he could measure my DCSB for sliders. I got to see his process, welds, what materials he is using, and got a chance to look at a set of sliders that were half way complete. Overall I'm really impressed with the design and cannot wait to get a set and try them out on the trail.

I have not seen a finished set yet, but when I buy my set I will definitely put some feedback on this thread.

Did some more fitting work yesterday for the DCSB/ACLB; hoping to have some pictures by early next week. Joe's metal work looks really sharp in person!

    Yes.
Do these come off the side of the truck parallel to the ground? Or will they angle up toward the door sills?

Up to the customer. So far I've sold two sets, bothe parallel to the ground. Mine are 75% complete but will angle up toward rocker panels. Hope to have tons of pics by next weekend. Finishing the DCSB and regular cab in the next few days.
