When I get to that part in the menu that option is greyed out and then it gives me instructions on how to turn off the Bluetooth and to turn off the radio and turn off the device. I have followed those steps and it still has that option greyed out and I am unable to press the option to change it from the cable to Bluetooth. I can provide some pictures to show you where I am stuck at...... but any help is appreciated thanks

What cables do you have? What phone are you trying to connect?

subscribed, just installed avh-x4500bt, have the cd-iv202av, waiting for the apple vga adapter to get here. where did y'all run/hide that ugly-as pioneer cable to. i am thinking about running it to the console, so i don't have it laying around in plain sight.

Mine was run to the cubby on right side of steering wheel. It's a rats nest in there with the VGA and USB. Haven't got around to finding the ideal place yet. It's functional and out of the way for now.

just got my cable in and working. i ran it down the right side of the radio, was able to reach through glove box, and pull it down the passenger side. i pulled the surround from around my shifter, and was able to run the cables back to under my console. pulled the console, will cut that tomorrow, and run the cable up into the right side of console. lots of wire, plenty of length. i was unable to make it work with the usb splitter i had. so i will just get a car charger to charge my phone most of the time, use bluetooth to listen to music, and use the cable when necessary.
overall, kinda disappointed in this apple pioneer mess. video quality is poor. cable is ridiculous.

Turn your setting to "Bluetooth". It is probably on "USB"

    DryCreek,
Thank you for the quick reply. But I do have the settings on bluetooth....Everything works fine, even appradio. But as soon as i connect the iphone with the cable, it launches the appradio, It never mirrors the phone to the head unit.

    DryCreek,
Thanks bro, I finally got it to work..it turns out, once I would plugin my phone, the app radio would pop up on my phone asking to launch and connect. This time I said no, and from the head unit I went to iPod and tapped the "appradio"'icon on the display. I guess that turns appradio off on the head unit. After a few seconds my phone displayed on the head unit. It totally came in handy while waiting for my wife to get off work. Our kids started to get a little antsy, so I started playing "Frozen" that new Disney movie. They were so exited..

Thank you for all your help..

No prob. I didn't do much. I wish mine was in my daily driver so I could use it more. Might need to put one in the work truck.

Pretty cool to see this unit do that. I'm looking into getting this style unit, just didn't know which model. At the same time I don't wanna spend too much and this one is in the budget. It does have the option to add a backup camera too, right?

Yes.....I have since installed a backup cam. For the money it's pretty hard to beat this one.

Not sure if anyone has tried to use this with an iPhone6 or not. I have all the cables, which seems I may not have needed with the iPhone6 but I can play music through both the usb and Bluetooth. When it comes to apps, I have the app icon option on the radio. When pressed the radio says it's starting the appRadio app, I'll get a caution statement about app launching, nad then I get another caution about not watching video in front seat and I need to press OK to acknowledge I'm in park but button is greyed out. My only assumption is that the morons that put the radio in didn't place the brake button. Is there a work around or something or a setting I'm missing? Thanks

Oh by the way for iPhone 6 users, I don't think you need the cables. I get incompatible USB cable warning with the cables connected. When I run a straight USB to lightning cable, there's no problems other than apps not working. I'll assume the iPhone 6 doesn't need the VGA for video as it's probably run through the lightning cable.

anyone connect the Pioneer avh-x2600bt to the iPhone 6 and get the phone video to display(mirror) on the pioneer lcd screen? I see the crux avity 01 from the prior post but don't want to spend $179 plus the apple adaptor price. the connectors cost more than the head unit. It seems they have discontinued the cd-Iv203 cable for the iPhone 5 on crutchfield so it seems those connectors don't work for the iPhone 6. Any help would be appreciated
