SAS, with tons, 3linked front and rear…I stopped saving receipts for my sanity
little progress update for this weekend. I managed to plumb in the hydro assist. I used all compression style "field serviceable" weather head AN fittings. wanted to keep it simple. I plan to carry two 90* fittings and two strait fitting as well as a length of 8' hose. this will give me the ability to completely build any of the power steering system hoses on the trail if need be. it also look a lot cleaner than using the cheap AN barb fitting a lot of guys use on the return side

I also managed to throw together a set of sliders. they are ready to go to powder coat but I will wait until I have the rear bumper finished before it goes out. I typically get a better deal wit the more stuff I take hi for the batch. They aren't anything special just some square tub main bar with DOM outer tubes. I am not terrible happy with them I built them for strength and they have too much weight. I may rebuild them out of 4130 and use thinner material to save some weight.

here is the truck at the end of the day. you can see the rear bumper coming together in the foreground

I saved this part of the update for last because I know a lot of people are waiting to see how it turned out. I am glad that it has been so well received because I have been anxious to build this piece the entire build. I am really pleased with how it turned out.

I am thinking about having some custom shifter knobs made with the correct shift patterns on them for the t-cases. honestly I really like the stock transmission shift knob. But I really like the raw aluminum trim plate and the billet shift knobs.

Wow, just wow man. When I first subd to see why someone would buy a SAS'd 2nd G just to tear it apart I knew this was gonna be special, but this is just over the top. Nice to see such work on a truck that doesn't have Cali plates.

Word of caution, URE trees reached out and gave my OEM stickers beauty marks. Maybe some heat formed 1/4" plexiglass shields for your painted on logos!

Be sure to give us the date for the maiden voyage to URE, you will have some followers! Well till you leave us behind ...

an update is coming. I am finishing up the last few details. Not much is left. I have the fallowing left to do:
    build the front bumper
    build a tire carrier
get front, rear, bumpers sliders tire carrier powder coated and install
    mount the spare tire
install rear axel shafts and slugs
    replace the brake reservoir
    build a clutch reservoir
    bleed the brakes and clutch
    build the exhaust

pretty much everything is here except the rear axel shafts but they are only a week or less out

LOL yes sliding under and out of a truck will do that to a phone. the case is so bad that when I take pictures I must take my phone out of its case so the pictures are not just a blurry glob. Time for a new phone for sure

Absofukinlutely beautiful build! You guys are kicking some serious ass! I read the build in one sitting and am very impressed.
I'm just starting my SAC on my 2012 after being dicked around for about a year and look forward to getting some of your custom pieces like the shifter plate for an auto and I really like the pitman arm ya'll made.
I'm gettin antsy to see yours done.
quick question, what are you doing for the speedo? Are you able to get it gear driven like Wyatt?

Finishing touches gong on right now. Things left to do:
    Drive shafts (all ready ordered)
Put the limiting straps on (enroute)
    Bleed brakes
    Put the exhaust back in
    .....
Drive the shit out of her!

Truck was looking good dude! I was there a couple weeks ago, had David weld up my busted fuel cell. I noticed it looked like you were going to be cutting it close clearing the back of the fenders up front. Have you had a chance to stretch it out any yet?
