OME Lift installed : The Old Man Emu lift with 881 coils and dakar leaf packs finally came in and I got it installed. It turned out great but not level. The rear sits an 1" taller than the front, even with the canopy on. Also, the passenger side sits 0.5" taller than the drivers side (not just in the front). Any ideas!?! I'd like it to sit level without the canopy on. And hopefully fairly level with the canopy on.

You will need a top plate spacer for the drivers side I believe.

I pressure washed the motor and underside. I used the purple Castrol SuperClean and it turned out great. Takes off grease, oil, road grim with ease. I am also test fitting and prepping the hubcaps to be trimmed. That is one of my spring break projects. I'm going to cut the caps so that 1" sticks out and using Scotch double sided tape rated for all weather and 20 lbs. Fingers crossed they stay on.

Yup, I think wheelers offroad makes a .25 spacer just for this reason.

A trimmer pack? Won't that only fix the front corner height? The whole drivers side sits lower (0.5" front and rear).

Wheeler's offroad has a trim packer for the front and rear. Should I install a trim packer on both the front and rear (drivers side) and a lift enhancer on the front (both sides)? Would that level everything out?

I would get ahold of Dan there and ask him what he suggests. I need to get some of that castrol super clean my engine compartment is filthy. Anything you covered up so it didn't get soaked?

I called Dan and he helped me out. Got some parts on the way. And no I didn't cover up anything. I've done it dozens of times and several rigs with no issues

you could if you wanted. I never have. Of course, I don't directly spray water in the alternator. You drive down the road in the rain or through a big puddle, water is bound to get on your alternator. People's alternators go out when they bog and submerge their motors in water. Good luck:)

So I went to drive across town and the truck is idling a little funny. You can really tell when you get out and listen to the exhaust, sounds like it's misfiring. Also when I accelerate, the truck shakes like it has an unbalanced tire. I pressure washef the motor yesterday and wondering if that had anything to do with it. Any ideas?

Give it a day or so. That isn't exactly the best thing for an engine. If it doesn't go away there could be water in many different places causing it.

I'm letting it dry out. The check engine light was on, the code was p0300 and p0302 which is random misfiring.

Im was thinking of putting those 265/75/16 Duratracs on my stock 2001 Xtended Cab TRD, too. Any rub issues before your lift? A lift isn't in my near future. I'm also looking at KMC wheels with the Enduro Pro being a top contender :)

rubbing was minimal when i ran 265 duratracs, i took off the mud flaps and that helped but still encountered rubbing when going into driveways at an angle.
