I just received my spec-u exhaust yesterday. I need to know if anyone else here has this exhaust for their dbl cab lb and have an issue with the mid-pipe muffler not fitting correctly because of the carrier bearing support bracket. It looks to me that the pipe needs to be a little longer on the flex side and a little shorter on the exit of the muffler to keep over all length. My mid-pipe muffler will touch the bracket if you install it like it should be to keep the pipes level and straight. Thanks for any help.

I have been in contact with Gadget from the beggining. My question to everyone is where is the carrier bearing on the 2nd models. There are two sets of mounting holes on the frame. On my 4wd it is in the back set of holes because of the transfer case. But with the 2nd not having the transfer case do they have the carrier bearing in the front location. Could some one with a 2wd dbl cab lb check this and let me know?

Also this exhaust sounds amazing. Gadget nailed it. This is the best exhaust I have put on here. And I have put 4 other exhaust on here before this one.

Yep. That is what I was told. But seeing that this is a new product i would think there was only a handfull out there. I believe that the issue is the carrier bearing support. Doubt that URD would be able to change their design right now so I'm going to have to move the carrier bearing support to the front holes and fab some brackets to hold the carrier bearing so the exhaust will fit correctly. I hope that if they do change their design that they send me the corrected part free.

bahahahahahaha, Tinker "gadget" is a tool and tells everyone the same thing when a part is screwed up or doesnt fit.

If your VERY VERY VERY lucky like myself u MIGHT get the replacement part for free or paid for any fab work you may have to do yourself.

It took me 2+ yrs to see a check, and Tinker only sent it because he said he had a truck come in that wanted the MK2 exhaust thrown on and it wouldnt fit around the spare tire of the truck (stock size spare)......Just like I complained about for 2+ years. He secretly changed the design a tad and told NOBODY else.

Right now theres a guy on youtube ready to take legal action on some other crap with Tinker and his parts............

dont worry, your NOT the only person to get a cookie cut excuse and blown off.......................and you will NOT be the last, Tinker is a prick but not many people have the balls to say so

Fixed it today. Also took care of the tail pipe issue from my Alcan 6" lift springs. Looks good. Here is the fix to the midpipe. Will post some sound clips soon.

Very nice piece of 304 stainless steel. Much cheaper than the cost having an equivalent custom made.

awhile back I had a pre runner with doug thorley headers, dougs y pipe, and then they went into a 40 series flow master....... the interior noise was crazy, so then I added 2 flow master cats and that made it much better.
What muffler are ya'll using now? On my new 14 I have a 40 series single into dual out.
