I would like to think so. But I would still be wary of the ball joint mounting offset. That's what causes the early wear and failure of the joint. A joint that was never intended to control that much side loading.. Their crowning achievement of ball joint adjustability will ultimately be this products downfall. IMHO.. Think of this while you're hurling your truck down the freeway at speed.

Uodate.....Well, my replacement uca's are on thier way for $200. Thank god I kept my original receipt! They said they will refund my $200 when I send the old ones back. I will give these new ones a run but I have to admit I'm a little nervous. Now it's all making sense of why I was having so many problems with my last set of tires wearing out of round. That cost me a pretty penny for a set of tires.

I wish you the best of luck OP. When I got my replacements I promptly sold them and recouped some of my money. Given the interest in them from the add I probably could have gotten more than I asked ($200) More than anything I was happy to have the piece of mind that the truck was safe to drive again. And I was getting tired of taking the UCA's off and on to repair or replace. I replaced the LR's with Total Chaos UCA's

I'm sure most of you are thinking it but I'll say it. I'm not a fan boy and I run lr ucas but everyone here complaining about a product have had no experience with the 2014+ versions of the uca. Every company has trial and error. Most choose to turn a blind eye to the problem or the customer or even try to say ,"well mr. Customer our uca wasn't designed for this or that."

Instead lr listens and makes changes. They also don't put the blame off on you or try to for a faulty part they manufactured. They own up to it and attempt to make you happy any way they can.

As for the op it sucks what happened with your bushings and I hate to hear about it. But I'm equally glad that you talked it out with lr and they are working with for a solution.

I recently was sent a new replacement set by LR but I must admit that I'm a little weiry of the new ones and theyre already squeaking. Especially since the old ones wore out a set of Toyo tires.

Where is this squeak coming from ? My old style LR UCA's are almost 5 years old and have never squeaked

Sounds like for your usage - a uniball UCA is a better choice. Nobody ever said that the LR balljoint UCA was as strong and durable as the uniball UCA designs; only that it was less expensive and required less frequent maintenance. "Stronger" doesn't necessarily mean "needs less maintenance." Often, in fact, these things are opposite from each other.

So - switch to a uniball UCA such as total chaos, camburg, or icon, and don't look back. :)

But when you play with your truck in the dirt a lot, it's gonna need more maintenance (and repair) than a vehicle that only stays on the street. So you should be expecting to clean, lubricate, and service those uniball UCAs. Just like top-end coilovers have higher oil volume, but need more frequent recharging/rebuilding than non-servicable factory shocks that are designed to last a relatively trouble free 100k miles of low intensity street and highway usage.

After my bad experiences with SPC LR UCA's, Which BTW I rarely wheeled. I was ready to go with a uniball style UCA. I asked around for recommendations on a servicable UCA and the answer always was TC
