Just extend your brake lines? Sway bar removal might help too.

Why are you regretting the 12" shocks? Just because of the long brake lines?

So who wants bad news? Ok so I've put 700 miles on my LCE Pro Clutch. Still chatters like a bitch. Still sucks. SO. I called LCE to give them an update (they've been super helpful). They said that my clutch should not chatter like that at all. Its not a freaking crazy dual comp racing clutch. I was worried it was my flywheel. O'reilys took two passes off of it because it was warped and even then a small amount was left untouched. What they failed to do though is realize its a *stepped* flywheel. That means they needed to pull the dowels and grind down where the pressure plate bolts to the flywheel. The step is supposed to be 20,000 of an inch difference. Well they ended up taking 20,000 of an inch off only the main flywheel surface. So now I have double the recommended distance. Apparantly that's really bad and can burn up my clutch and is the cause for my problems. So I'm going to need to buy a new OEM flywheel since I don't want to eff with this one anymore. This sucks, the clutch guys suggested I do it before Moab and think I should go raise hell at O'reileys. Opinions? Thoughts?

Should they have known it was a stepped flywheel? I know nothing about clutches. If so then yes make them pay for a new flywheel

I looked into a custom plate for my truck yesterday. I put in "Taco" for WA state and it said it was taken, now I know by who haha. Small world.

That's what I'm thinking. Not sure how it's gonna go over.
I would think so... I brought it in and said "you guys resurface flywheels?" They said as long as it isn't a stepped. I showed it to them and said I don't know can you do it? To which they responded oh yeah let me go throw it on the machine. Obviously he didn't realized it was a stepped flywheel...
Haha awesome! I was shocked it wasn't taken so of course I bought it!!

That is surprising! So how much total do you pay? I know its like 40 or something to get the plate. Do you have to pay that every year on top of the 56 for the tabs?

Ok so T-Minus 18 days till I leave for Rock Therapy so that makes for a stressed out Dakota.
I will be bumping this occasionally.

*Update* So tomorrow I'm going to tear the truck apart and take out the transmission AGAIN :frusty: Unfortunately I have several appointments tomorrow and I have to work all day Saturday. Eff you O'reilys. Best case scenario the flywheel can be properly resurfaced and go back in. Worst case is I need a new flywheel and my clutch disc could be damaged. Yippee. The following weekend I will tackle the suspension. I seriously need spring perches.

    Carry on

    Todos:
    Relocate Winch Solenoid - DONE
Install LED fogs *see quoted post below* - DONE
    Build Shock Relocation towers
    Build shackle hangers
    Order Spring Perches
Remove leaf and paint Chevy 63s
Cut off *entire* rear suspension components and go weld crazy
Install King 12" shocks - shipped
    Remove sway bar
    Install snorkel - shipped
Flush and refill coolant - looks scary low! - DONE
    Mount Hi-Lift Jack
