What's up guys. I am so stoked. Just picked up a brand new 2015 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner here in Hawaii. We are the only state I believe that is giving the last productions of this specific model. It's pretty cool! I got a reverse cam, GPS, nice double din deck, and a great leather nice feeling steering wheel. Anyways, I got the Barcelona Red. It's such a nice color!! I'm very pleased with it. Considering I'm only 23, and I purchased this truck through my good credit and a good job I'm pleased.

Anyways, now I need some advice. Unfortunately, this truck does NOT fit in my garage. I tried buying a truck cover but the wind flaps it all over the place. Your thoughts? I was told it would damage the paint. Also, I did not buy that vinyl clear coat that the dealership offers you. It was just way too pricey.. My truck is outside pretty much always.. Is there any suggestions on how to take care of my paint? I'm getting tired of wiping down my truck EVERYDAY.. It takes a lot of time and hard to maintain.. I was wondering if getting it detailed (clay bar, buffer, wax, polished, sealant) is the best solution to keeping the paint good. Let me know! Thanks!

Sincerely, new guy to the Tacoma world!

Congrats on the new X-runner , about ur paint q.? ... Here" s my 2 cents... Back on2008 i purchase brand new yaris, i waited about 6 weeks until came from Japan, dealer sold me the quantoum paint and fabric clothe protection indicating that bird drops or spray paint would not stain or damage paint, also DO Not wax it becuase will remove the special protective coat. The idea of never have to wax the car sold me out , so i end up with this numbers 14.4 the car , 1000 7 yrs parts and labor ins. 500 lojack , 500 quantom tlcc all round to 17889 out of door. Car is easy to clean, Never wax it as instructed , shines so easy that some thinks is anewer model, front bumper is accumulating some insect marks i just been busy to detail but wont apply just regular car soap and car towel. Regarding car wash look up up youtube video " the 10 common mistakes on car wash" quite nice. Be aware of using their tips to avoid fine scraches to the paint and soap must say " do not warm protective coats". Dont know what is offered on coats in hawai but like someone told me ...it" s a truck man... I take it mean to be dirty off road.... Get more concern in rust protection than paint

Appreciate your feedback buddy! I'm a little confused tho.. So I just basically took it off the lot but because of the bird droppings etc, I already washed my car and waxed it with turtle wax. I did want to protect it from rusting though. Is there a way to keep the rotors clean and silver ? Don't want people looking through my rims and looking at a dirty rotor.. Also, I hope I didn't ruin my coating then.. I've already wiped down the truck so much and just washed it on Thursday...
