I like dogs too, but my schedule doesn't really allow for it when I am not home much..

    That sucks, sorry to hear.
Make sure you take it easy, I strained my calf a few weeks back and it took a little over a weekend to heal up (my trainer even gave me electrotherapy to help).

I am just giving you a hard time.

Yeah, I thought I would be fine after walking it off. Layed down and when I got up I could feel how tight it was. I'll just do some light incline walking until it feels better.

This weekend was absolutely horrible (awesome). I ate pizza, Subway, a few hamburgers, etc. I'm not even stepping on the scale this week haha

If you start your bulk early you might see some real gains by time you quit it .

So by 2020 you've gained 50lbs of muscle on top of what you have now?

I try yeah, just wish there wasn't the scorn for anything but huge numbers. I wasn't already at a decent weight when I started last year, nor am I as young as most here..and have more nagging injuries.

Just sucks to read it sometimes in a gym/fitness thread which seems pretty general as I understand.

No worries. Anytime you're talking about fitness on the internet and people are sharing what their reps were, its pretty safe to assume that they were really about 5-10 pounds lower anyways.

I would say most the guys in here are pretty honest about reps and weight. My rep number is a generalization since counting is hard. That said, scratch numbers. Workout for your own reasons. I determine my "gains" by real world applications. Just cause I can squat X amount of lbs doesn't mean its beneficial to me. Taking the stairs to the 4th floor of the biology building and not completely losing my breath or having wobbly legs...now that's an obvious and positive change for me.

    Just depends on your goals.

Went to the gym and did some flat bench on my lunch break. 315x20

Jk, I don't go extremely heavy that much, so big #'s aren't overly important to me. I max out on my big three lifts a few times a year to gauge my progress. If I can do 315x1 in Dec and can't do 300x1 in June, I know I've got a problem. As we all already know, I'm in the 'Aesthetics over everythang' crew, so numbers aren't my top priority.

haha that happened to me last weekend, too. I got used to it. It's pretty cool b/c now you can tag folks (ex. @t4r4life) and like posts. Also, posting pics is way easier (just copy and paste). There's a thread that explains all the new features. I'm still learning

In what will probably get me tossed out on my ass....

Started my step challenge today. My work gives out a free Fitbit Zip..basic but free is fine by me. If I do 200K steps in 28 days and do 2 of those challenges a year (3 are offered) it saves me $600 a year on my health insurance. Yes please!

So, came home from the dentist today in a vile mood and hit the treadmill hard. 3.1mph, 7 incline, 50 minutes, 500 calories and 155 fat cal gone. Approximately 7000 steps in 2.75 miles. Coulda done more but off to my "meeting"..
